01Who we are
Hound is operated by 360 LABS LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 17335918, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. For personal data you provide to us as our customer, we are the data controller. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
02Data we collect
We collect:
- Account data — your name and email address, provided via Google sign-in or a magic-link email.
- Usage data — searches you run, leads you save, and product activity, used to operate the Service and meter credits.
- Optional analytics data — if you agree inside the signed-in Service, we collect your internal account ID, page paths with query strings removed, browser and device details, selected feature actions, error diagnostics, and a masked session replay. We do not send your name, email address, search terms, lead details, or outreach draft text as named analytics events. Replays mask all visible text and form inputs and block lead-result cards.
- Billing data — subscription and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
- Technical data — standard logs and security metadata such as IP address and request timestamps.
Cookies and local storage:we use necessary session cookies that keep you signed in. We do not run optional analytics on the public marketing site. Inside the signed-in Service, PostHog stores an analytics identifier in your browser's local storage only after you choose “Allow tracking”. If you decline or make no choice, Hound sends no optional analytics or replay data. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Privacy & analytics.
03Lead data you generate
The Service surfaces business and contact information from public sources — business listings, the open web, public social profiles, and verified business emails at lookup time. When you use the Service to collect this data, you are the controller of it and are responsible for having a lawful basis to process and contact those individuals under UK GDPR and PECR. We act as your processor for that data and do not sell or resell your exports.
If you are an individual whose details have appeared in results produced by the Service and you would like them suppressed from future results, email [email protected] and we will action it.
04Why we use your data and our legal bases
- To provide the Service (performance of our contract with you).
- To take payment (contract, and compliance with our legal obligations).
- To secure and improve the Service (our legitimate interests).
- To send service and, where you agree, marketing email (contract or consent).
- To collect optional product analytics, error reports, and session replays (your consent). You can withdraw consent in Settings without losing access to Hound.
05Processors we share data with
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf under contract, only as needed to run the Service: Stripe (payments), Google (authentication and business-listing data), Resend (email delivery), our search and enrichment providers, our large-language-model provider (for drafting and scoring), PostHog (EU-hosted optional product analytics, error tracking, and session replay), and our hosting and CDN providers (application hosting, database, and Cloudflare). Some providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.
06Retention
We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and security obligations, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time (see below).
We keep optional analytics, error reports, and session replays only while we need them to analyse the beta and investigate faults. We then delete or aggregate them. Withdrawing consent stops new collection; you can also ask us to delete analytics already linked to your account.
07Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected].
Complaints:you can complain about our handling of your personal data directly to us at [email protected] — we acknowledge complaints promptly and respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.
08Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Questions or requests: 360 LABS LTD, 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, or [email protected].
