LinkedIn safety
Your LinkedIn, kept safe
Hound sends like a careful person would, from your own account, within limits nobody can raise. If LinkedIn still restricts you, we refund the month.
The short answer
Hound sends at most 20 LinkedIn connection requests and 50 LinkedIn messages a day, at random gaps, on weekdays in working hours, from your own account. Those limits are the same for every customer and can never be raised. If LinkedIn restricts your account while Hound kept to its limits, we refund that month and help you appeal.
The limits, the same for everyone
20
connection requests a day
About 100 a week on weekdays, the pace careful LinkedIn members keep to.
50
LinkedIn messages a day
Follow-ups included. A reply stops the follow-ups for that person.
40
emails a day
From your own Gmail or Outlook, so your domain stays out of spam folders.
How Hound sends
- Sends at random gaps on weekdays, in working hours only. Never at night, never in bursts. Only your own answer to someone who wrote in the last day can go in the evening or at the weekend, never after 10pm.
- Starts every account lower, at 10 connection requests and 25 messages a day, and works up to the full limit over the first weeks.
- Slows down by itself if fewer than 3 in 10 people accept your requests, because a low acceptance rate is what LinkedIn watches.
- Stops sending from your account for the day the moment LinkedIn pushes back on a send, then goes slower for a week.
- Caps how many profiles it opens each day too, not only what it sends.
- Writes every message for one person, about what they said, so no two messages are the same.
- Sends from your own LinkedIn account. No fake accounts and no browser extension to install.
Our promise
If LinkedIn restricts your account while Hound kept to its limits, we refund that month and help you appeal.
- Email us within 14 days of the restriction.
- Nothing else sent automated invitations or messages from that account in the 14 days before, such as another automation tool or a browser extension.
- We check against our own sending records, then refund that month's payment.
- One refund per LinkedIn account in any 12 months.
The full wording is in our Terms.
What helps on your side
- Keep your profile complete, with a real photo and headline, so people accept.
- Don't run another LinkedIn automation tool on the same account at the same time.
- Approve messages before they go in your first week if you want to see the tone first.
Questions about safety
Can I raise the limits?
No. They are the same on every plan and every level, and no setting can raise them. You can send fewer.
Is LinkedIn automation allowed?
LinkedIn's terms don't allow automation tools, so any tool carries some risk. Hound keeps it low by sending like a careful person would: from your own account, at a pace one busy person could keep up by hand.
