Credits meter what a hunt actually does: a search channel costs 2-5, each saved lead 2, reviews or a verified email 3. A typical hunt — one channel, ten leads with reviews — runs about 55 credits. You see the estimated cost of every hunt before you run it, and every plan shows a live usage bar inside the app.

No — and that's the point. Databases decay: independent tests put the big providers' real accuracy 15-30 points below what they advertise. Every Hound result is found live at the moment you search — maps, Reddit, social, the open web, and Companies House — so there is no stale list to decay.

The gaps a live search can see and a database cannot: no website, an outdated or dead one, no phone, no email listed, no booking system, rating or review-count thresholds, the platform they run on (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify), whether they're hiring, and — for food businesses — their official FSA hygiene rating. Company hunts add incorporation date, SIC sector, funding stage, and whether they've recently raised.

A city on any plan. On Hunter and above, name a county, region, or country and the hunt splits into up to ten principal towns, sweeps each with its own search, then merges and de-duplicates the results. Region hunts cost more because they do more, which is why the cost preview shows the total before you confirm.

Any hunt saved to a schedule, on Tracker and above (Pack picks its own cadence). Each run only bills for genuinely new leads — anything you've already been charged for is remembered and suppressed. A new-business watch also rolls its date window forward each run, so it keeps surfacing fresh incorporations instead of rescanning the same window. Alerts go to email or Slack.

Unused credits carry into the next month, capped at 20% of your plan's monthly allowance (50 on Tracker, 200 on Hunter, 500 on Pack). Carried credits last one month and do not stack.

Yes, any time. Upgrades, downgrades, and cancellation all run through the Stripe billing portal linked inside the app. Cancelling stops the next charge; your plan runs to the end of the paid period.

Hunter and Pack subscribers can buy 500 extra credits for £25 in a heavy month. Packs are one-time purchases, apply to the current billing period, and do not roll over.

Public and official sources only: business listings (Google Places), Reddit and the open web (including Quora, Mumsnet, and public forums), public social profiles, LinkedIn-indexed decision-maker metadata, Companies House for company registrations and share filings, and the Food Standards Agency for hygiene ratings. Emails are found and verified at lookup time — reveal them per lead on Tracker and above, or automatically across a hunt on Hunter and above. We do not sell or resell your exports.
